John Arthur began drawing and painting as a child in his father’s studio and has not stopped since. He began his career as a professional artist and illustrator more than thirty years ago, and his paintings have graced the covers of books, magazines and periodicals and have been seen by millions. His limited edition prints and portfolios have sold internationally and he is currently at work on his fifth children’s book. John’s prestigious list of clients includes: Disney, Warner Bros., Leanin Tree, and Carlton Greetings, among many others. Although John is primarily known for his romantic fantasy watercolors (Romantasy tm), he is a figurative artist whose talents are used in a variety of genres and mediums. His latest publications; The Art Of Faery by Paper Tiger Press and The World of Faery by Harper Collins features John alongside some of the world’s great fantasy artists. This year Pure Inspiration’s Fantasy Art Collection was released with John as one of the featured artists. John has taught art classes from his studio for more than twenty years and also instructs Master Art Seminars. Among his many passions, John enjoys sketching, playing Blues piano and flyfishing. The artist lives with his wife Terry and their three children and works from his home/studio in the San Bernardino Mountains in Crestline, California.
